Terms of Business

These terms apply to all container sales, hire, and conversion work carried out by Cambridge Shipping Containers Global Ltd (company registered in England and Wales). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. The Company

Cambridge Shipping Containers Global Ltd, 7 Harcourt Road, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 8AQ. Director: Phil Cambridge. Contact: 020 8226 0007 / phil@cscontainersglobal.co.uk.

2. Quotations and Orders

All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued. An order is confirmed when we acknowledge it in writing (email or WhatsApp) and a deposit or full payment has been received.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation before confirmation. Prices quoted exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

3. Container Sales — Payment

Full payment is due before or on delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing. Containers remain the property of Cambridge Shipping Containers Global Ltd until payment is received in full.

4. Container Hire — Payment

The first month's hire, plus delivery and collection charges, are payable before delivery. Subsequent monthly hire payments are due on the same date each month. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date entitles us to collect the container without further notice.

5. Container Condition

All containers are graded at point of sale or hire. Grade descriptions:

We inspect all containers prior to delivery. Any condition concerns must be raised within 48 hours of delivery — after which the container is deemed accepted.

6. Delivery

Delivery is by HIAB crane lorry to kerbside or a safe, accessible hard-standing point. You are responsible for ensuring adequate access (minimum 3m clearance) and a suitable surface. We are not liable for any damage to ground surfaces, drives, or infrastructure caused during delivery. Delivery dates are indicative and we do not accept liability for costs arising from delayed delivery.

7. Container Conversions — Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price (as stated in the Quotation) is required before work commences. The remaining balance is due before delivery of the completed unit. Variations to the agreed specification must be authorised in writing and may affect the final price.

8. Returns and Cancellations

For standard container sales, once a container has been delivered it cannot be returned unless it was misrepresented at point of sale. Deposits are non-refundable once a container has been allocated or conversion work has commenced. Cancellation of hire requires 30 days' written notice.

9. Liability

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the price paid for the goods or services in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
