Driver phones an hour before, sites it just where you want, leaves only when you're happy.
Every container we deliver goes by HIAB crane lorry, direct from our Kent yard. The crane arm extends from the lorry and positions the container exactly where you want it — no separate crane hire, no groundworks.

Access route: at least 4 metres wide
The lorry is 2.5 metres wide with mirrors. Tight access is common — Phil will advise if it's workable before booking.
Overhead clearance: 3.5 metres minimum
Check for overhead cables, tree branches, or structures along the access route and at the siting area.
Ground condition noted
Concrete and tarmac are ideal. Grass and soft ground are workable — the crane arm extends over the surface so the lorry doesn't need to drive on it. Tell Phil what your ground is like.
Someone on site to guide delivery
The driver needs a point of contact to confirm the siting position. The container won't be moved once placed.

Google ReviewsPhil confirms your delivery slot
Once you've ordered, Phil books a delivery date that works for you and confirms the HIAB lorry. You'll get a call the evening before to confirm the window.
Driver calls an hour before arrival
The HIAB driver will call you approximately one hour before reaching your site. Make sure someone is there to meet them and show them where the container needs to go.
Container is lifted off by crane — no forklift needed
HIAB cranes lift and place the container without needing to drive onto your land. The lorry stays on the road or hardstanding — the arm reaches in. Most standard driveways, fields, and yards are fine. The crane can reach around 10–12 metres from the vehicle.
You pay on delivery — not before
Phil doesn't ask for payment upfront. You pay the agreed price when the container is on your site and you're happy with it. No hidden charges on the day.
This is the most common question Phil gets before delivery. Here's what to check. If you're unsure about any of these, call Phil — he's done hundreds of deliveries and can usually tell you straight away.
Road/track width
The HIAB lorry needs around 3 metres of width to pass through. Tight country lanes and narrow farm tracks can be an issue — mention it when you order.
Overhead clearance
Low bridges, power lines, and overhanging trees can restrict the crane arm. The lorry is around 4 metres high — flag anything low on the route to your site.
Ground conditions
The lorry needs firm ground to park on while the crane operates. Tarmac, concrete, compacted hardcore, or firm grass is fine. Soft mud or unstable ground is not.
Someone on site
You or someone you trust needs to be there to direct the driver and sign off on placement. The driver won't leave a container without a site contact.
Not sure if your site is suitable? Call Phil before you order — he'll give you a straight answer based on what you describe, and he won't waste your time or his.
