Yard or on-site, your choice. Phil repairs container doors, corroded floors, damaged panels, and leaking seals. Smaller jobs can be handled on-site UK-wide — see the mobile/on-site repair page.
| Repair type | Common cause | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Door repairs | Bent hinges, stuck lockbars, damaged seals | Very common on older containers — most can be repaired on-site |
| Floor replacement | Rot, forklift damage, woodworm | Hardwood floor replaced with new boards — container brought to Phil's yard |
| Dent removal / panel repairs | Forklift strikes, transport damage | Major dents assessed individually — structurally unsound panels replaced |
| Rust treatment | Surface rust common on 10+ year containers | Treated and coated to prevent spread — often done alongside a respray |
| Seal replacement | Worn door gaskets | Makes containers watertight again — straightforward job on most container types |
| Roof repairs | Hail damage, corrosion | Less common but fully repairable — assessed on a case-by-case basis |
Yard or on-site, your choice. Smaller repairs (door hinges, lock boxes, seals, rust patching, dents, vandalism) can be done where the container sits — see the mobile & on-site repair page. Larger jobs (full floor replacement, major panel work, structural rebuilds) usually need the container at Phil's Kent yard. Phil confirms which side of the line your job falls at quote stage.
Phil has been repairing containers since the 1990s. He can assess a container quickly and tell you honestly whether repair is worth it or whether you'd be better off with a replacement. No time wasted on uneconomical repairs.
Based in Bexleyheath, Kent, Phil covers the whole of the South East for on-site repairs and takes containers into his yard from further afield where the job requires it.
